2. Book Review by Kim Flottum, editor, Bee Culture Magazine, Oct. 2009

''You can't read enough to children when they are young and these books were written to be read by adults to children. They are simple stories about a day in a bee's life. They aren't anywhere near biologically correct, but that's not the point. The goal is to look at the easy to watch art, and listen to the easy to hear stories. Thery are about things children are learnhing about...adults, dogs, flowers and there's lots to look at on the pages of these books that children will already know and can now learn from.''

3. Book Review by Barbara Milhender, Librarian for the Essex County Bee Keeping Association, Newburyport, MA. in their Newsletter, May, 2010:

'' The next book is a story for kids and the adults who read to them:

Day 1 in the Life of a Baby Bee, and Day 2 in the Life of a Baby Bee Are written and illustrated by Terry Jones Ellis. Her simple illustrations are joyful and slowy teach young children about honey bee's society. I just loved them. The book starts out ....''A bee named George comes to life in Day One in the Life of a Baby Bee. George spends his first day explorihng the new world and his new home which he discovers is a bee hive. However, when he realizes he has wings, he believes he is a bird.'' Day 3 in the Life of a Baby Bee publishing date is in June. Stay tuned. This is a great book for grandparent beekeepers to read to their grand kids.''
